A trip to Sanya

Image
Last summer holiday, I went to Sanya with my friends. For me, Sanya is a resort city that should enjoy the fun of different hotels. It is lovely to stay in the hotel and feel the sea. The day after arriving in Sanya, one of the friends asked to see the sunrise. To successfully see the sunrise, we played poker all night, stayed up, and headed to the beach near the hotel at 4 am to wait for sunrise.  It was nearly five o'clock that the sun rose slowly. Listening to the waves crashing on the beach and watching the sun's red light gradually fill the sky is the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen.  After watching the sunrise, we returned to the hotel and slept until noon before heading to another hotel.  Our second hotel, Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort, exceeded our expectations. However, the distance from the city center was not so convenient. Still, the facilities and experience of the hotel more than made up for the travel problem. Notably, the hotel's seclusion gran...

The Italian restaurant hidden in the alley

Image
My favorite Italian restaurant, Casamia Italian Family Restaurant, is in the alley next to Wenzhou Times Square. People tend to overlook the restaurants in the alley because of the clutter, but this Italian restaurant is an overlooked "surprise". After the waiter served the food, my friend and I still ate the cake, and the restaurateur was very enthusiastic and even came to remind us to eat the hot food first to avoid losing the flavor after it was cold. The restaurant's food is exceptional. The restaurant's specialty is potato dough, offering two flavors of porcini cheese and tomato. My personal preference leans towards the savory porcini cheese dough. But my favorite food is their fried seafood, crispy on the outside w...

Communications blackout in Gaza

Image
The frequent disruption of communications in Gaza during the Israel-Gaza war has raised my concerns about the objectivity of the related news coverage. Numerous reports have highlighted the breakdown of communication in Gaza, with one specifically mentioning that the primary Palestinian mobile phone provider couldn't pinpoint the exact cause of the disruptions. It could be attributed to infrastructure damage during the conflict or deliberate attempts to sever communications. Hatem Moussa/AP I also find that reports on communication blackouts in Gaza have surfaced in different months, indicating that such disruptions are not occasional but somewhat recurring. These interruptions severely restrict Gaza's ability to connect with the outside world, access timely medical aid and supplies, and share information from their perspective. The breakdown of communications has not only cut the people of Gaza off from the outside world, exacerbating the hardships they face; It also means tha...
